The fastest way to get a useful answer
Call and describe the room. What is the building, roughly how many square feet, what happens on the floor, how it gets cleaned, and what is wrong with it now. That is usually enough to know which system is in play and who should look at it.
If there is an existing floor that has failed, photographs of the failure are worth more than any description. A peeled chip photographed face-down tells you immediately whether the coating released from the concrete or the concrete came off with it.
Send it in writing instead
The quote form captures everything a contractor needs to prepare for a site visit, and it means nobody has to play phone tag before anything useful happens.
Urgent floor failures
If a floor is actively creating a problem, say so when you call. A delaminating coating shedding chips in a food production area, a failed surface in a walkway that has become a slip hazard, or a spill that has gone through to the slab in a containment area are all situations where the assessment moves ahead of routine work.
In those cases it helps to know immediately whether the area can be isolated, whether production is currently stopped, and whether there is any regulatory or insurance deadline attached. That information changes who gets sent and how quickly.
What we cannot help with
We do not handle residential garage floors, driveways, patios or basements. The specification, pricing and scheduling of residential work is different enough that a referral network built for commercial buildings serves it badly.
We also do not quote floors sight-unseen, provide written specifications for projects we have not assessed, or act as an expert witness in disputes with other contractors. For a failed floor where the question is liability rather than repair, an independent flooring consultant is the right professional to engage.
